A big thanks to ScareCrow for letting me know about this system. I think after we get a few games under our belt, we'll be able to expand on this!

I have a suggestion. Move this to a better, more USA-friendly site like True Poker or Minted or RPM.

I was just messing around w it ... I would be all for doing a usa friendly site, but then u get into the trap of them all in a sudden banning players and what not, and people from different states/banks not being able to depoist as easily as others ... pokerstars.net, u cant do any buy-in tournaments, but can do play money and award prizes here in the forum

... and now that football season is over, this could kind of fill the gap until all those contests come back

Come on, Scarecrow. Ban everyone on the slim chance of banning some in the future. That makes no sense. But I TOTALLY agree this should be a fun way to kill some time waiting on football to come back. Thank you

This is a USA friendly option that actually should work out quite nicely.

We obviously can't play real money games there, but we're not trying to play real money games, so there's no sense in using Merge or Cake to host free games when we can use Poker Stars and have complete control over every aspect.

In the past, it's been a real pain in the *** setting up private tournaments, so I am actually pretty impressed that we can do it all with just a few clicks of the mouse.

If we can breathe some life back in to poker via this system, then certainly we can host freerolls and buy-ins on other sites, but for now, this looks like it will fit our needs perfectly.

Is it really? Is it rigged by the host or the players? Does anyone really know?

I tried to register for Sunday's tourney and it said I had to pay $1.10. Of course, being American, I am unable to make a deposit. So what's up?

Lol. Yes, it's play money. The site is 100% play money with no real money involved (hence the reason we will be having free tournaments there with Amazon.com gift card prizes here).

datsme53 is my username for Poker Stars

I hear someone say that online poker is rigged. LOL! There is no basis for that at all...and no proof of it whatsoever. You want to say it is rigged? Prove it with hand histories etc.. not blind accusations. Why would a poker site rig anything? They have no vested interest in who wins ANY given pot or tourney. They make money by hosting the games. Why would they do ANYTHING that would destroy their business? My advice to ANYONE who thinks online poker is rigged in any way... DON'T PLAY! If you think it is rigged and play anyway....play money or real money... who is the fool?
